I visited Spain a few years ago and had the most incredible time. I was fluent then so it was really fun going places on my own and practicing the language. I suggest going to Seville and Cordoba. We also spent some time on the coast in the South, in Malaga. Spain is a rather large country, and you can find somewhere that’s warm or colder, known for art or nightlife or just quiet times. Make sure to catch a flamenco show! Traveling is an awesome way to learn about the culture of the language you’re studying. Try things off the beaten path, you’ll certainly get to use the slang and vocabulary you’re learning. Buena suerte!
You say you are doing GCSE, so i’d say your from the UK, i’d suggest Spain because they speak SPANISH and its cheaper and closer than to go to the Americas. Also i think in Mexico & places like Cuba have a slightly different dialects for GCSE its better off knowing the Standard Spanish from Spain. Not that going to Mexico wouldn’t be beneficial or as great.
Visit the United States of America…………..
The largest speaking country is Mexico, so it is a good place to practice. A city there that might be good is Guadalajara.
South America.
Visit several places, that way you can get used to different dialects.
